In 2006 Anita Sharma-James set up ‘The Spice Trade’, an Indian cookery school giving
scores of people the confidence to explore the heritage of Indian
cuisine and culture.
In fact Indian cooking in its native form, as practiced by her mother she maintains, is relatively simple and easy to prepare.
The interest generated in these lessons and the resulting healthy
Indian food, led her to establish an Indian Cookery School offering a
unique brand of live interactive cookery demonstrations, creative
cookery lessons and dinner parties.
Anita is now in much demand, and using specially designed portable kitchen
stations, runs events for up to 60 participants, all cooking together at
conferencing venues and hospitality suites throughout the region.
